Dubai Wild Wadi Water Park

It is an outdoor Arabian-themed water park that covers an area of 12 acres in the rural area called Jumairah, adjacent to the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Wild Wadi is located about 20 minutes in taxi from the city’s centre and belongs to the Jumeirah International firm.

The park is designed like an oasis (Arabian wadi), around a story from Arabian Folklore showing Juha and his seafaring buddy, Sinbad. The resort comprises 30 interconnected rides and attractions for kids and intrepid souls, including the 80km/h speed slide Jumeirah Sceirah (33m high) and Breakers Bay wave (1.5m) pool. In Wild Wadi there are 30 million liters of water dedicated to entertaining. The lazy river is the water park family favorite.

Visitors are provided with rubber rings, lifejackets and body boards when get into the park and have access to all the water rides. There are 90 lifeguards on duty and the resort also offers various restaurants, snack stands and shops.

March to May: 10am – 7pm
June to August: 10am – 8pm
September and October: 10am – 7pm

Wild Wadi’s Rides

Jumeirah Sceirah: The tallest and fastest free-fall water slide outside the United States. It rises to 33 m (110 ft) with riders getting speeds to 80 km/h (50 mph). The Waterfall goes off each 10 minutes.

Master Blaster: There are 8 and their slides are described as “uphill water roller coasters” due to riders, who can sit on either a single or double ring; are impelled uphill by high-powered water jets. The Master Blasters are: White Water Wadi, Jebel Lookout, Wadi Leap, Hos’N Hurler, Falaj Fury, Wadi Twister, Wadi Basher and Flood River Flyer.

Ring Rides: The resort contains 7 that are described as “downhill gravity slides”, due to riders sit in either a single or double ring sliding down speedy to the bottom of the slide. The Ring Rides include: Tumble Falls, Falcon Fury, Rushing Rapids, Thunder Rapids and Tunnel of Doom.

Flowriders: Two stationary wave machines called Wipeout and Riptide shoot out over 7 tons of water per second to create a real wave effect that is ideal for knee-boarding, body-boarding, or surfing.

Breaker’s Bay: One of the biggest wave pool in Asia. It boasts parallel and crossing 1.5 m (4.9 ft) waves in 5 singular ways.

Juha’s Journey: A tranquil long lazy river of 360 m (1,200 ft) that permits visitors slowly float.

Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon: An interactive play area with around 100 water games and rides that includes water cannons and body slides, designed especially for kids.

Other rides: Wadi Wash, and Flood River Flyer, Summit Surge and Rushdown Ravine.

Opening Hours and Prices

The Park opens daily at 11am, but has different closing hours during the year. Between November and February it closes at 6pm while between March and October it closes at 7pm. During the hot summer (June to August), the resort closes at 9pm.

The entrance fee is Dhs. 250 (US$ 68) for adults and Dhs. 125 (US$ 34) for kids, and it is personal. Visitors can rent a towel or a locker for Dhs. 20 (US$ 5.50). A bottle of water (500ml) costs about Dhs. 7 (US$ 2). People staying at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel or Burj Al Arab, have free entrance to the Wild Wadi.

Please be adviced that the waterpark will close at 6pm before opening for ladies night.
