Janet Jackson set to perform in Abu Dhabi

Record breaking artist Jacket Jackson will be performing live at the opening night of the Yas Island Show Weekends on October 13.

The six times Grammy Award winner will be take to the stage in Abu Dhabi as part of her Number Ones, Up Close and Personal tour.

Jackson’s sixth world tour, which is running in support of her second compilation album, will see the star performing music exclusively from the chart topping Number Ones.

“These concerts will be different from anything I have ever done,” she said ahead of the tour in January.

 “I will be as up close and personal as possible. These concerts are not about special effects. This is a love affair between me and those of you who have supported me and my work for all these years. I’ll be singing and dancing from my heart. The music will all be songs that you’ve made number one for me” she added.

Jackson, who has sold more than 100 million records, will be performing in front of 15,000 in the UAE’s capital. Tickets are priced at AED265, AED365 and AED665.
